Biography:

Liane Pei is an experienced management executive focused on strategic planning, operations, program, policy and business development. With a rich background as an art historian, attorney, and Director of Admissions and Director of External Affairs in independent schools, she leverages a valuable combination of diverse skills and practical experiences in the arts, education, law, advocacy, policy, external relations, marketing, PR, communications and public speaking.

Deeply committed to the non-profit sector and, in particular, to the arenas of education, the arts, women and children, community health, veterans issues, and domestic violence prevention, Liane has held numerous leadership positions in organizations as wide-ranging as the Association of the Bar of the City of New York’s Trusts, Estates and Surrogate’s Courts Committee, the YWCA-NYC, National Dance Institute, the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York, the Public Relations Society of America, NY Chapter, the Brown Club in New York, and The Junior League of the City of New York.

Today, Liane is Director Research Administration, Cardiology, at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she works with clinicians, business, operations and legal teams to advance the clinical trials, research, and related global health initiatives of the Cardiology Department.

A graduate of Brown University with dual AB degrees in Art History and Italian Studies, and the recipient of the George E. Downing Prize in Art History, Liane is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law, where she was a member of the Journal of Law and the Arts and the International Law Students Association.

Liane is admitted to the NYS Bar and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
